Here is how it works, what it costs, and what you can skip renting entirely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First: what you may not need to rent<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are hiking with us, the logistics gear is largely solved. As a rule of thumb: a two-person tent runs roughly <strong>3,000-4,500 \u20b8<\/strong>, a sleeping bag <strong>1,000-1,500 \u20b8<\/strong>, a mat <strong>around 1,000 \u20b8<\/strong>, and complete two-person combo sets start near <strong>5,500 \u20b8<\/strong>. Most shops take a deposit (cash or a document), offer discounts for multi-day rentals, and knock something off for sets. Trailhead is the wrong place to find a missing pole section.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Check the sleeping bag&#8217;s comfort rating<\/strong> against where you are sleeping: valley campsites are mild, but nights at 3,000 m drop near zero even in July &#8211; see <a href=\"\/en\/almaty-hiking-season\/\">when to hike<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Never rent boots<\/strong> if you can avoid it.
