Description

Kholodnye Perya — “Cold Feathers” (3,970 m) — gets its name from the thin rock pinnacles on its ridge that resemble frozen plumes. The peak sits on the main Tuyuk-Su ridge and offers technical climbing on distinctive, sharp rock formations.

This is a peak for climbers who’ve progressed beyond the standard 1B routes and want something visually and technically memorable. The “feathers” themselves — narrow rock blades protruding from the ridge — create an aesthetic climbing challenge that’s unique in the Tuyuk-Su area. The route requires rope work, comfort with exposure, and confident movement on steep, narrow rock.
