Chundzha hot springs
Experience the adventure of a lifetime in the breathtaking landscapes of Kazakhstan
Overview
Detailed Description
The Chundzha hot springs are a popular destination for rest and rejuvenation, located about 250 km east of Almaty, near the border with China. These thermal springs draw their water from natural geothermal depths and are renowned for their healing mineral-rich waters, with temperatures reaching 50–60 °C. The water is packed with various microelements and is believed to be beneficial for joint issues, skin conditions, and respiratory ailments.
The Chundzha hot springs complex includes numerous resorts and guesthouses where visitors can stay for a weekend or several days. Most facilities feature both indoor and outdoor pools filled with thermal water, along with saunas, plunge tubs, and relaxation areas. Winter is an especially magical time to visit, when the contrast between the frosty air and the steaming hot water creates an unforgettable experience
