Eagle’s Nest is a popular viewpoint in the Zailiyskiy Alatau mountains, located not far from Almaty. It gets its name from its high elevation and panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, resembling a bird of prey’s nest. You can reach Eagle’s Nest on foot from the Medeu sports complex — the hike takes about 3 hours along a scenic mountain trail.

Eagle’s Nest is popular among both beginner and experienced hikers. Thanks to its accessibility and the beauty of the surrounding nature, it often becomes a favorite spot for weekend walks, especially during the spring and summer seasons.
