Description

Peak Issyk-Bash (3,917 m) is the dominant summit of the Talgar sector — the imposing wall visible from Peak Emshek and the Ak-Bulak resort. The 2–3 day trek approaches from Ak-Bulak through the Soldatskoye gorge, over the Rakhat Pass, and into the remote Issyk-Bash valley — a glacial cirque that sees very few visitors.

Your team completed the first ascent of the neighbouring Peak Akbulak (3,460 m) during this expedition and named it after the resort. We provide the overnight kit — tents, stoves and food for 2–3 days — but the load is shared: you carry a portion of the team gear alongside your own. Navigational experience matters here too, as there are no established trails in the upper valley. The peak itself involves steep scree and potentially snow/ice on the final approach.

Did the 2-day Altyn-Emel trip. The Singing Dune at sunset was magical. Our guide handled everything - permits, accommodation, meals. We just showed up and enjoyed. Already planning our next trip with Zabugorshiki.

Solo traveler here. I was nervous about hiking alone in a foreign country but the guide made me feel completely safe. The trail to Kok-Zhailau was beautiful and the photos he took of me were amazing. Only wish the hike was longer!

I had a great experience, communication was very clear from the beginning to the day my guide Eldar picked me up at the hotel. I did the Big Almaty Circuit with Satpayev peak. My guide was great, and took care of everything. He knows the mountains very well and speaks English. They provided a very good quality tent, mat and sleeping bag! Thanks to the whole team!
