Pamyati Peak

Peak of Memory (Pik Pamyati) is one of the symbolic summits in the Zailiyskiy Alatau range, located south of Almaty at an altitude of around 4,150 meters above sea level. The mountain was named in honor of mountaineers who lost their lives in the mountains, and a commemorative obelisk stands on its slope. The peak is popular among experienced climbers and is a site for traditional ascents and memorial events.

The route to the peak starts in the Malo-Almatinskoe Gorge and passes through picturesque alpine meadows, glaciers, and rocky slopes. The climb requires good physical fitness, basic mountaineering skills, and proper equipment. Along the way, hikers are rewarded with breathtaking views of glaciers, neighboring summits, and pristine nature.
